In the past few months we’ve been touched by the delight and appreciation shown for some of our smaller and less impressive acts of support.
The little things that make a big difference…
We live in a world that often celebrates SIZE
We look at large corporations as being successful, and it’s the same with churches. It’s easy to buy into the idea that if you’re going to do something worthwhile it needs to be BIG! In the film ’The Hobbit’, the wizard Gandalf the Grey says “I have found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”
This is so very true and yet easy to lose sight of when faced with a mountain of challenges and needs within the Christian community in Pakistan. In the past few months we’ve been touched by the delight and appreciation shown for some of our smaller and less impressive acts of support. Let’s not forget that large impact is often lots of small things put together consistently over a longer period of time. – Rob Bavington, CEO
