In this issue:
In February Starfish Asia arranged four days of training for head teachers from 30 Christian schools.
In March we will again provide school text books to about 7,000 children in 45 schools… without good books students cannot study well. But the greatest gift we can give is to equip teachers. To train, encourage and reward Christian teachers is one of our highest priorities.
Ian and Fiona will be based in Scotland from April this year and their home will be a new northern hub for Starfish Asia.
Survey teams gathered in Lahore for training from the ASER team in early January and began their school visits as soon as they returned back to their areas. Their survey forms have been arriving at the Starfish Pakistan office. To the end of February about 300 schools had been surveyed.
These are some of the fifty Christian children from a community of brick kiln workers at a small village near Lahore. Starfish Asia friends Asif and Dona, take a Sunday School class for them every week. They will probably become workers on the brick kiln — unless someone can open a school for them.
