Isle of Wight Challenge – Raising Money for Scholarships

In just over a month’s time, Ruth Coleman was planning to take part in the Isle of Wight Round walk, which as the name suggests is to walk round the Isle of Wight, which is 106 km (66 miles). Ruth was taking part to help raise money for Starfish Asia’s scholarship fund.

Unfortunately, due to COVID19, the event has been postponed.

Starfish Asia offers scholarships – currently to around 150 students, mostly to those who were taught in one of the schools we support, to give them a chance of pursuing a variety of careers through higher education including nursing, midwifery, teaching and engineering.

We are all being impacted by COVID19, and in different ways, and it is frustrating that events like this are postponed.

However, we do not have to wait until Ruth finally gets to complete the walk to help a few to have their impossible dream fulfilled. Let’s show Ruth our support and help make a difference today!

You can give either on Ruth’s virginmoney page or direct on our website via the donate button and use the word scholarship to tell us this is where you want the money to go.
