On 31 August 2019, Allan Grant crossed the finishing line of the CCC (Courmayeur – Champex – Chamonix), an “ultra marathon” of 101km, 26 hours after starting the previous day. It is a gruelling race testing with over 6,100m of assent and descent, and 25% of those starting the race did not finish.
Allan was running the CCC raising funds to buy science lab equipment for 2 Starfish Asia supported schools in Pakistan. So far he has raised enough funds for 3 starfish schools – Thanks Allan. Let’s see if we can get it to 4…. Please click here to be taken to the Virgin Money Giving site.
The CCC is a horseshoe shaped route around the Mont Blanc massif starting in Courmayeur in Italy, progressing north up to Champex in Switzerland before entering France and ending in Chamonix at foot of Mt. Blanc.

If you are inspired with Allan’s account, and would like to fundraise for Starfish Asia, please let us know. Cake sales, sponsored walks are all good as well as ultra-marathons!
