Pray for our brothers and sisters in Peshawar

By the time this gets read, our new website will be a reality. We have lived for ten years with a good, but inadequate website, and this is the fulfilment of another ambition.

There are many families who have lost 6,7,8 members. It is really a very sad situation.

The thought of adding a regular column in the form of a blog comes from the urge to say things that we cannot say any other way. Even Facebook is better at pictures than words – and who looks at them?

The wounded in hospital in PeshawarFirstly, we have to express again our heartache at the tragic loss of life in All Saints Church, Peshawar, and our sympathy and prayers for those who lost family members. This is a pain that all Pakistan has suffered.

A friend, who runs two schools outside Lahore that we support, visited Peshawar and some of the wounded in hospital. He wrote: “There are many families who have lost 6,7,8 members. It is really a very sad situation. They need our prayers and help. May God Almighty Give them courage so they may have strong faith in Jesus Christ, Amen.”

Thank you, Ashraf, for caring for those who suffer.

At the same time, let us also pray for the many Muslim families who lost relatives in two further bombings in Peshawar later in the same week. Pray for a stop to this madness.
