You may have read the story of Tahir Memorial School in the recent Newsletter. Tahir was killed in a botched robbery in a village area in 2011. In his memory – and in full accord with his own ambitions before he died – his sister has opened a school for the children of Christian brick kiln workers.
Anser and I visited the school on Monday and were again inspired by the dedication of the staff and the enthusiasm of the children.
These kids deserve a future! Mumtaz and her small staff at Tahir Memorial are going the extra mile to give them that future.
Somehow by the grace of God we have to support this school. It is bringing so much light and hope into the lives of their community.
Every day I am touched by the excitement, friendliness and simplicity of these children. I love the way they enjoy shaking hands, responding to “What is your name?”, the way they play, grin, laugh, and love to have their photo taken. These kids deserve a future! Mumtaz and her small staff at Tahir Memorial are going the extra mile to give them that future.
